The vision for this home
Since first visiting Rehoboth in the late 1980s, Paul and David toyed with the idea of building a vacation home. In August 2019 it became reality. We trust you'll enjoy this modernist-design home, complete with first growth trees and thoughtful, unique details throughout the property. We’re confident you'll enjoy it, and treat your home for the week with the care, love, and respect we all give our own homes.
Sadly, Paul passed during the building process. His vision is evident throughout the concept and several of the details of the home, and reflects his background as a multi-unit residential developer in Washington, DC. The house was designed by Shawn Ewbank Design Collaborative and Yellow Room (Richmond, VA). CRx built it. We can’t thank them enough.

In the area
Bike rentals? All Wheels Bike & Scooter Shop with rentals is only 0.4 miles away.
Kids? Take them to Jungle Jim's just around the corner.
Favorite restaurants? Rehoboth abounds in great places to eat. Eden is the best restaurant in town. Blue Hen is top-notch. Jam (same owner as Eden) and Back Porch Cafe are very good.
Summer House and well-known local brewery Dogfish Head both provide fun times and good bar food.
Starboard in Dewey deserves its awesome weekend brunch reputation. Thompson Island Brewery and Blue Coast are both walkable from the house.
Things to do? Figuring you've been in the area before and enjoy downtown Rehoboth or Dewey, take time for a walk in Cape Henlopen State Park. Beautiful and uncrowded. Have a meal and wander for a bit in smaller and lower-key Lewes. The Rehoboth summer activities book you find all over town has more golf course recommendations than you likely knew were in the area - from higher-end par 72s with tee-time reservations; to call-just-ahead courses with beginner tees like Salt Pond Golf in Bethany Beach, playable as a par 61 or a straight par 3. (And the par-3 just off of Route 1 endures for 8-9 iron practice or introducing a novice.)
If you've been to the area before, you already know parking downtown is a beast in high season. While we do provide a parking pass, try the shuttle bus. Bus depot is a couple hundred yards away on Shuttle Road.
Water sports? Dewey Beach Watersports gets good reviews.
